Finally, Chicago

Hot weather was on its way, so we hit the city before it became an oven. First train ride for the kids - upper level seating of course! Destination: The Sears (Willis, whatever) Tower.
We started in Clarendon Hills.

And there it is in the distance!

One hundred and three stories high. It's the second tallest sky scraper in the world.

The kids stepped right out onto the Sky Deck without hesitation. I, on the other hand, had to take some deep breaths and talk myself into it. Holding onto the wall helped. It effected me much more than I expected. Half my brain said 'do it!' and the other half said "noooo!' A thrill and a memory to be sure.

Then lunch.

Then Millennium Park.

And the Bean.

You'd think they'd have fallen asleep right where they were.

But nooooo. After we returned to the 'burbs, Ben requested some baseball time. You go, Ben!
